FOR INFORMATION ONLY: This Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation Notice is ONLY A NOTIFICATION that a solicitation is anticipated and forthcoming. All questions regarding this Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation should be submitted in writing to the Point of Contact(s) indicated below. Construction Project: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District requires hydraulic maintenance dredging of the Upper Settling Basin and the Federal channel adjacent to the Lower Settling Basins in the Snohomish River Federal navigation channel. The volume of sediment to be dredged from the Upper Settling Basin is approximately 100,000 cubic yards with placement at the City of Everett property Site O, near the dredge area. For the channel segment adjacent to the Lower Settling Basin, the Contractor shall hydraulically dredge approximately 40,000 cubic yards of sediment with placement at the western shore of Jetty Island. In-water work begins 16 October 2019 and all in-water work must be completed by 14 February 2020. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price. Solicitation number W912DW-19-B-0005 will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov, on or about 8 July 2019. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bids. Bids will be due no sooner than 17 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. See the solicitation for details about bid opening. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction - Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities, and the associated small business size standard is $27,500,000 in average annual receipts. The solicitation will be full and open competition. The solicitation documents for this requirement will be issued in electronic format only and will be made available online via the FBO website at www.fbo.gov under the subject solicitation number.
