As of 17 September 2026, Phase I of a two-phase BVTO has been posted for the Port Monmouth project, with Phase I covering shore protection and Phase II covering flood risk management. The project is located in Port Monmouth, New Jersey, along Pews and Compton Creeks and Raritan Bay, and aims to reduce storm damage to low-lying residential and commercial structures from coastal erosion, tidal flooding, and inland flooding. Phase II components include a tide gate, levees, floodwalls, two pump stations, three road closure structures, road raising and regrading, and wetland mitigation. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is the non-Federal sponsor.
