Maintenance Dredging of NY & NJ Channels, Seguine/Ward/Outerbridge Reaches, Federal Navigation Project
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, seeks a contractor for maintenance dredging of the Seguine/Ward/Outerbridge Federal Navigation Project in New York and New Jersey channels. The work involves removing approximately 330,000 cubic yards of shoal material to a depth of -35 feet MLLW plus 2-foot overdepth, with placement at the Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS). Performance will require a mechanical dredge with an environmental clamshell bucket, ocean-going barges, tugboats, and survey vessels, with work anticipated between September and December 2026. The estimated budget for this project is between $5,000,000 and $15,000,000. The contractor must commence work within five calendar days of receiving the notice to proceed and maintain a production rate of at least 8,000 cubic yards per calendar day.
