Maintenance Dredging of Hague Basin, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, New York Federal Navigation Project
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers proposes maintenance dredging of approximately 51,640 cubic yards of material from the Hague Basin at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in New York. The work, which must be performed with a specific mechanical dredge, includes processing the material and transporting it to a contractor-furnished, permitted upland site. The contractor must commence work within five days of a notice to proceed and maintain a production rate of at least 2,500 cubic yards per day. The project's magnitude is estimated to be between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000, with plans and specifications expected in March 2026 and an intended government award in May 2026 for work anticipated in Spring 2026. The performance location is the Hague Basin at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in New York.
