The future solicitation for Liberty State Park Restoration Project will be full and open unrestricted Invitation for Bid solicitation. The components described below will be sole source, if no other sources are identified that can provide an equivalent system. In the event no equivalent sources are found, the brand name only justification will be issued pursuant to FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. A subsequent market survey will not be published in support of a Justification and Approval for sole sourcing. Supplies of the brand name component will be provided directly to the Contractor(s) and not to the Government. 2. This notification serves three (3) purposes: a. To notify potential bidders of the Government’s intent to solicit brand name only components for this project. b. To identify potential sources that can provide an equivalent to the brand name only items c. Notification of the Army’s intent to solicit brand name components as described below. 3. Summary of Requirements: a. Earthscape Playground Equipment The playground will include the following equipment: - Log Tangle 2.1 (SS Slide) - Songbird - Log Pile 3.1 - Monkey Bars (Low) - Bog Stilt - Log Stepper 150 (6") - Log Stepper 300 (12") - Log Stepper 450 (18") - 2 Level Timber Tower (SS Slide) - Log Tangle 4.1 (SS Slide) - Giant Rope Swing - Log Pile 6.1 - Wobble Board - Small Round - Notched Post - Bog Stilt - Log Stepper 150 (6") - Log Stepper 300 (12") - Log Stepper 450 (18") - Triple Bay Swing (Tot, Belt, All User) Earthscape playground equipment are made of nature based high-quality wood materials. Additionally, Earthscape wood playground structures are intended to be aesthetically beautiful natural playgrounds with bespoke playscapes, towering structures, and unique sculptures. In playground design the manufacturer becomes part of the design team to ensure the equipment meets the desires of the client, while being a safe and enjoyable experience for children. Due to this reason the Government is intending on identifying a brand name to ensure the playground equipment can be designed and installed safely. Furthermore, the selection of playground equipment detailed above by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is required to advance the design of this project. 4. The magnitude of this brand name component in terms of estimated price is $730,000. 5. Any vendor that wishes to provide an alternate source to the brand name above that is compatible with the above must provide a response with data supporting the claim within 15 business days of this announcement to New York District Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division. 6. This is a market survey and notification of intent only. This is not a request to respond to a solicitation. This requirement will be solicited at a future date.
