U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, Operations Division has a requirement for a live instructor, in-house MicroStation Connect and OpenRoads Designer training for Civil Engineer designers and drafters. In accordance with ECB 2018-7 “Advanced Modeling Requirements on USACE Projects,” advanced modeling processes and related technologies are required for most of the design and construction projects within the scope of New York District’s mission, including the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Civil Information Modeling (CIM), and Computer Aided Design (CAD). MicroStation Connect and OpenRoads Designer addresses the requirement for both CIM and CAD. MicroStation Connect connects design and documentation to help boost design productivity and can be utilized for all in-house Civil Works and Military Construction design projects. Therefore, Operations Division new employees and seasoned designers require training in MicroStation Connect to remain fully productive and efficient in the creation of design plans, feasibility plans, and models.
