The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to award a firm-fixed price construction contract for the renovation and repair of facility deficiencies at Building 20 located at Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet, New York. Building B20 is an existing 115,000 square foot manufacturing shop facility for major weapon system components. The original building was constructed sometime around 1942 and has had several repairs and alterations throughout its lifecycle. Building B20 is located on the Eastern side of the central campus of Watervliet Arsenal, adjacent to the Hudson River. The purpose of this project is to renovate portions of the facility that have not recently been renovated as well as repair facility deficiencies including: Survey and repair or replace damaged concrete roof planks; Remove and replace existing roof membrane, drains and flashing; Install new Insulated Metal Roof Panels; Install Roof Lightning Protection; Replace Existing Roof Fans; HVAC Air Handling Units Moved to Roof (Manufacturing floor area only). This solicitation will be acquired as a Small Business Set-Aside. The period of performance for this project is 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted electronically via the beta SAM website on or about 11 August 2021 and the proposals will be due approximately 30 days later. Any and all amendments shall be likewise posted. Hard copies will not be available. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the beta SAM web-site for any amendments. All vendors and bidders are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (see www.ccr.gov). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 for Commercial & Institutional Building Construction. The magnitude of this construction is estimated to cost between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Offers will be submitted to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division DOD safe site. All questions must be submitted in writing via email to the Contract Specialist. The media selected for issuance of solicitation and its amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the internet.
