Industrial Lubricant Supply The US Army Corps of Engineers, New York District: Physical Support Branch This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability of potential businesses in accordance with FAR 7.104(d). The potential business will need to demonstrate the capability to perform all facets of the work described below. The sole intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain capabilities for set-asides and procurement planning purposes. This is not an invitation for bid, request for proposal, or other solicitation, and in no way obligates the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to award a contract. Background Government personnel will use the lubricants to perform oil changes on marine main and generator engines. The Government's fleet at Caven Point Marine Terminal includes 3 low rpm engine boats and 3 medium to high rpm engine survey and work boats. These vessels also require hydraulic lubricants for maintenance of their transmissions, steering systems, and critical navigation and safety equipment. Per FAR Part 19.102 (c)(d) & (e) - a product or service shall be classified in only one industry, whose definition best describes the principal nature of the product or serviced being acquired even though for other purposed it could be classified in more than one. The contracting officer has made the determination that NAICS Code 324191 - Petroleum Lubricating Oil and Grease Manufacturing, best describes the principal nature of the product being acquired. NAICS Code 324191 has a size standard of 750 employees. Contractor requirements: To meet the purpose and objective of this requirement, the Contractor shall provide documentation demonstrating the capability to provide the lubricant supply. In addition, the Contractor shall provide delivery of the proposed lubricants on-site at the USACE facility at Caven Point Marine Terminal, NJ. The following lubricants shall be brand name or equivalent: 5 Gallon buckets 1. CHEVRON SYNTHETIC MEROPA 150 GEAR LUBRICANT 5- QTY 2. CHEVRON SUPERPLUS SAE 40 23 - QTY 3. SHELL ROTELLA HD T1 SAE 40 26 - QTY 4. SHELL ROTELLA T1 STRAIGHT GRADE SAE 40 10- QTY 55 Gallon Drum 5. ROTELLA HD T1 SAE 40 Half a drum 6. CAPRINUS XR SAE 40 10-QTY 7. 50-50 PRE MIX ANTIFREEZE 2 2- QTY 8. CHEVRON MEROPA 220 3 - QTY 9. MOBIL DELVAC 1220 ENGINE OIL SAE 20 1- QTY 10. 46 HYDRAULIC OIL 1 and 1/2 - QTY 11. HOC XTREME 32 Half a drum - QTY Capability statements must demonstrate the requirements outlined above. Please address each in the order listed above. Responses shall be limited to 10 pages. Responses must be received not later than 3:00PM Eastern Time, February 8, 2019. Capability statements will not be accepted after the due date.
