The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District plans a single-award IDIQ contract to supply sodium hypochlorite for water treatment plants in Washington, D.C. The services will be performed for the Washington Aqueduct Division, which operates the Dalecarlia and McMillan treatment plants. The estimated maximum annual quantity is 1,100 tons for one plant and 900 tons for the other, with a total contract capacity not to exceed 10,000 tons over a five-year period. The government is exploring the use of a reverse auction for this procurement. An official Request for Proposal is anticipated to be posted on or around February 23, 2026.
