The project involves maintenance dredging of approximately 2,250,000 cubic yards from deep-draft federal navigation channels serving the Port of Baltimore, at a dredging depth of 50 feet MLLW plus allowable overdepth. Performance is scheduled between November 2026 and March 2027, with a period of about 120 calendar days from receipt of Notice-to-Proceed. About 1,538,000 cubic yards from Maryland approach channels will be placed at Poplar Island, while about 700,000 cubic yards from Baltimore Harbor channels will go to the Cox Creek Dredged Material Containment Facility. Work areas are within heavy commercial waterways supporting the Port of Baltimore. Required equipment typically includes two 30-plus-cubic-yard clamshell dredges, a hydraulic unloader, large tugs, material scows, and a drag bar and barge.
