North East River Maintenance Dredging, Cecil County, MD
The project involves using a hydraulic cutterhead pipeline dredge in the North East River to remove up to 100,000 cubic yards of silty to sandy material, dredging to an authorized depth of 7 feet plus two feet of allowable over-depth. Dredged material will be transported via a pipeline approximately 6 miles long, traveling through the North East River, up Stony Run creek, and over tidal and nontidal wetlands to an existing upland placement site. The dredging window is from 16 October 2026 to 15 February 2027, with an estimated construction duration of about 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance will occur at the North East River and the pipeline route to the upland placement site as described.
