North East River Maintenance Dredging, Cecil County, MD
This project involves using a hydraulic cutterhead pipeline dredge to remove up to 100,000 cubic yards of material from the North East River to a depth of 7 feet. The dredged material will be transported via a 6-mile pipeline to an existing upland placement site, crossing the river, Stony Run creek, and wetlands. Dredging is only permitted between 16 October 2026 and 15 February 2027. The estimated construction budget is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance of services will take place in the North East River and surrounding areas.
