This project involves maintenance dredging of multiple channels in the Baltimore Harbor and Chesapeake Bay, Maryland, to a depth of 50 feet MLLW. Approximately 1,538,000 cubic yards of material from the Maryland approach channels will be placed at the Poplar Island restoration project, while about 700,000 cubic yards from Baltimore Harbor Channels will go to the Cox Creek Containment Facility. The work is located within heavy commercial waterways supporting the Port of Baltimore. The required equipment includes large clamshell dredges, an unloader, multiple tugs and scows, and attendant plant.
