The purpose of this project is to develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) graphical and alarming standards for a large control system, consisting of multiple unit processes. The standards should align with the current best practices and will consist of an HMI philosophy, style guide, and toolkit, describing classification and organization of alarms, and visualization of process alarms and events. The approved standards will then be used to develop new high-performance graphics and alarming and transition the existing graphics to the new paradigm.
