SYNOPSIS: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), North Atlantic Division, Baltimore District (CENWP) is going to solicit via IFB procedures for the Jennings Randolph Backup Hydraulic System. The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed price (FFP) contract. Project Scope: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, has a requirement for the work consists of providing and installing one hydraulic power unit (HPU) on the 1337 elevation level of the intake tower and incorporate the unit both hydraulically and electrically to the existing HPU system. The fabrication of the pump can begin as soon as award is made, but installation must be completed between November of 2022 and February 2023. Place of Performance: Jennings Randolph Dam, Jennings Randolph Lake, Elk Garden, WV 26726, United States Estimated duration of the project is approximately 9 months. Acquisition Strategy: The solicitation will be a Request For Proposal (RFP) with the use of two-phase design-build selection procedures. This acquisition will result in a single fixed-price contract. The estimated cost of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Set Asides and Codes: This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 333996, Fluid Power Pump and Motor Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 Employees. The Product Service Code for this work is J043 - Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment- Pumps and Compressors.
