The proposed procurement is Full and Open Competition (Unrestricted); NAICS 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $39M. Project Description: The primary prupose of this project is executing the renovation of historic residential buildings located at Fort McNair. The magnitude of construction is between $10M and $25M. Construction duration is approximately 550 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Additional information in accordance with the statement of work is included in the Request for Proposal (RFP) document. This procurement is a firm-firxed price Design-Bid-Build construction contract utilizing the two-step sealed bid process. Currently this solicitation is for step one only. Proposals are due on 23 July 2020 by 12PM EDT. Step two of the solicitation will be issued as an amendment and only be made available to those offerors selected to advance from step one to step two. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder whom the Government determined has an acceptable step one proposal, conforms to the solicitation, is fair and reasonable, and bids the lowest overall price. Vendors must be registered with the System for Award Managment (SAM) database to receive a Government contract award. Project Description: The primary purpose of this project is executing the renovation of Six (6) flag officer single family buildings; buildings one (1) through with six (6), 6,985 Gross Square Feet (GSF) per building; built from 1903-1905; and five (5) senior non-commissioned officer duplex buildings; buildings 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 (total of 10 housing units) with 6,047 GSF per building; built from 1905-1908; located on Fort McNair, Washington, DC This procurement is anticipated to be a firm-fixed-price, Design-Bid-Build (DBB) construction contract utilizing the Two (2) Step Invitation for Bid (IFB).It is anticipated that the Solicitation will be released on or about 27 April 2020. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format to all authenticated account holders of beta.SAM. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper.
