The contractor must flag active burrows and exterminate inhabitants using commercial-grade gas cartridges with at least 53% sodium nitrate, working in teams of at least two and sealing all openings. Treated burrows must be filled with a slurry of 90% earth and 10% bentonite, topped with topsoil, graded, seeded, and covered with straw or hay matting. Daily Quality Control Reports must be submitted to the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC). All work will be inspected by the TPOC within one week of completion to verify proper treatment. Performance occurs in earthen sections of flood protection projects or a dam.
