The proposed service contract will allow for engineering and construction services for the repair or upgrade of civil works infrastructure related to a complex water treatment facility. The engineering and construction services consists of, but are not limited to, typical elements for repairs, rehabilitation, modification, upgrades and renovations of buildings or other infrastructure within an industrial environment. This work is to be performed within the boundaries of the Baltimore District primarily at Washington Aqueduct facilities. Typical work may include but is not limited to the repair and renovation of existing facilities of the following types: site clearing, earthwork, site drainage and utilities, roads and sidewalks, cast in place concrete, masonry, building renovation, new construction, joint sealing, grouting, asbestos abatement, lead paint removal, structural steel, steel joists and decking, rough carpentry, finished carpentry, built-in cabinetry and furniture, roofing and siding, sheet-metal work, doors, windows and glazing, window coverings, entrances and store fronts, lath and plaster, drywall, painting and wall coverings, floor tile and carpeting. Work may also include new construction.
