The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for Construction Activities for Levee repair to MRLS 246-L Levee Unit due to damages sustained during the 2019 flood events. The work covered by this contract consist of furnishing all equipment, labor, operators, supervision/site superintendent, quality control, supplies, materials, and incidentals necessary to satisfactorily perform and provide construction to potentially include, but not limited to repair the crown and landside toe erosion, breaches are also recommended to be repaired and construction of an underseepage berms. Sod kill to be repaired with over-seeding. New embankment section will be seeded and mulched with a maintenance period. It will be evaluated in accordance to FAR 14.1. At this time, no Pre-Solicitation Conference is planned for this solicitation. If the Government does elect to hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference, the Pre-Solicitation Announcement will be modified accordingly. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimate magnitude if this construction project is: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 The estimate performance period for completion of construction is TBD calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). There will be an organized site visit planned for this solicitation. The details will be included in the solicitation. Bid Bonds shall be in the amount of 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000.00, whichever is lesser of the two values. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for the full amount (100%) of the awarded contract before the Notice to Proceed can be issued. This procurement is a competitive small business set aside utilizing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction).
