Service Gate 1 & 2 Conduit Liner Repair at Manhattan, KS. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. THIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT FROM RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The purpose of this market research is to obtain insight into the interest, capabilities and qualifications of small business firms related to expertise in heavy rigging and operation of cranes, stainless steel material welding and fabrication, welding in confined space, erecting cofferdams and working in dewatered areas, and anchor installation with epoxies and to determine if there is adequate competition to compete and perform a firm fixed price construction type contract award. The scope of this requirement requires expertise with portable cranes and rigging, concrete hydro-demolition, stainless steel material welding and fabrication and anchor installation. The work includes removal of an existing steel conduit liner plate, removal of the existing concrete by method of hydro-demolition, placing new concrete, installing epoxy anchors into the concrete, installing a new stainless steel liner plate and welding the plate in-place in a confined space. ACQUISITION STRATEGY The Government anticipates a firm fixed price type contract for this project with several base requirements and multiple separately priced line item / quantity options. This is a design-bid-build construction contract. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.
