The US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for construction services for the installation of electrical distribution panels, R.V. pedestals, wire, conduit, pull boxes, trenching/boring, and all incidental materials. Work also includes installation of water lines to the campsites, grading and rock placement to campsites at Long Shoal at Harry S. Truman Lake. Contractors will provide plant, labor, equipment, and all materials (not listed as Government Furnished) necessary for a complete installation. Various Government Furnished Material will be provided. It will be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 14 and FAR Part 36. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimate magnitude if this construction project is: Between $250,000 and $500,000 This procurement is a competitive Section 8(a) small business set aside utilizing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The estimate performance period for completion of construction is 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). At this time, no Pre-Solicitation Conference is planned for this solicitation. If the Government does elect to hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference, the Pre-Solicitation Announcement will be modified accordingly. There will be an organized site visit planned for this solicitation. The details will be included in the solicitation. Bid Bonds shall be in the amount of 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000.00, whichever is lesser of the two values. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for the full amount (100%) of the awarded contract before the Notice to Proceed can be issued. Bids will be due the day and time specified in the solicitation. The solicitation is expected to be available within the next 90 days.
