Updated 17 Jun 2021: Amendment 0001 Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clauses 52.217-5, 52.217- 7 to solicitation and Drawings Package added to the announcment. ` The work covered in this section is outlined as a summary of work requirements common to all the work, locations and items of work involved. Specific requirements for materials, processes, performance, quality, and installation are provided under the technical sections of these specifications. Tower Roof Roof replacement is located on the Pomme de Terre Control Tower. The current EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) flat roof system was replaced in 2013 but has suffered deterioration due to a tear and missing section in the system. Upon completion of original construction it was also noticed that newly installed system did not allow for positive drainage to the roof drain, but instead ponded water. The only access to the tower is via concrete tower bridge that connects the tower to the embankment. Access to the roof is restricted to a series of ladders that are internal to the structure and leads to a roof access hatch. Project Office Roof Roof replacement is located on the Pomme de Terre Project Office. The current EPDM flat roof system was replaced in the early 1990’s but has begun to deteriorate as it progresses toward the end of its service life. The project consists of both an upper and lower roof as depicted in the contract drawings. There are several perimeter seams that have begun to wrinkle and allowing water to penetrate the sheathing. It has also been observed that both roofs pond water in areas prior to draining into the gutter system.
