The US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for construction activities for repairing the dam at Tuttle Creek Lake, KS. Work will consist of the following: overlaying damaged portions of the upstream embankment slope of the dam with filter and riprap bedding, repairing any access roads as necessary, debris removal and any other incidental work. It will be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 14 and FAR Part 36. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimate magnitude if this construction project is: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement is a competitive small business set aside utilizing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction). The estimate performance period for completion of construction is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). At this time, no Pre-Solicitation Conference is planned for this solicitation. If the Government does elect to hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference, the Pre-Solicitation Announcement will be modified accordingly. There will be an organized site visit planned for this solicitation. The details will be included in the solicitation. Proposal Bonds shall be in the amount of 20% of the proposal price or $3,000,000.00, whichever is lesser of the two values. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for the full amount (100%) of the awarded contract before the Notice to Proceed can be issued. Proposals will be due the day and time specified in the solicitation. The solicitation is expected to be available within the next 90 days.
