The US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation for construction activities for the construction of a lift station at our Milford Lake, Kansas, destination. It will be evaluated in accordance to FAR 15.101-1 Tradeoff Process. At this time, no Pre-Solicitation Conference is planned for this solicitation. If the Government does elect to hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference, the Pre-Solicitation Announcement will be modified accordingly. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimate magnitude if this construction project is: Between $25,000 and $100,000 The estimate performance period for completion of construction is 30 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). There will be an organized site visit planned for this solicitation. The details will be included in the solicitation. Bid Bonds shall be in the amount of 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000.00, whichever is lesser of the two values. This procurement is a competitive small business set aside utilizing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 237110 (Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction). Offerors are responsible for checking the beta.sam.gov Contracting Opportunities website frequently for any update(s) or questions and answers to the Solicitation. The website is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. Any amendments will be available through beta.sam.gov. The government is not responsible for any loss of internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document at the referenced website. Prior to submitting an offer, interested offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Proposals from contractors without an active SAM registration will not be considered for award. Firms can register via the SAM internet website at https://www.sam.gov/SAM/. If the offeror is a Joint Venture (JV), the JV entity must have a valid SAM registration in the SAM database representing the JV as one business/firm/entity. SAM.GOV registration is free of charge. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments prior to closing; therefore, it is the Offeror's responsibility to check the website periodically for any amendments to the solicitation. The solicitation will be posted on or around 10 April 2020.
