The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for construction activities for the construction of a relief well ditch collector. It will be evaluated in accordance to FAR Part 14. At this time, no pre-solicitation conference is planned for this solicitation. If the Government does elect to hold a pre-solicitation conference, the pre-solicitation announcement will be modified accordingly. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is: Between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 The estimate performance period of completion of construction is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). There will be an organized site visit planned for this solicitation. The details will be included in the solicitation. Bid Bonds shall be in the amount of 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000.00, whichever is lesser of the two values. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for the full amount (100%) of the awarded contract before the Notice to Proceed can be issued. This procurement is a competitive small business set aside utilizing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 237990 (Other Heave and Civil Engineering Construction). We anticipate release of the solicitation within the next 60 days. To ensure you do not miss this notice, we recommend contractors register as interested vendors.
