The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Kansas City District has been tasked to provide one. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of the Small Business Community to include Section 8(a) concerns, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) concerns, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns to compete and perform RFQ contract with Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237130 "Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction". The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Kansas City District has been tasked to provide one. Sample Scope of Work: The contractor shall mount one Morad 162 HD AIS antenna and M87 stanchion adapter using the M15 or M6 Bulkhead Extension Mount and 8 foot stanchion at the remote communication tower. The contactor shall run the supplied LMR-600 coax cable from the AIS antenna to the base of the tower, supporting the cable with a minimum of three hoisting grips, attach the soldered threaded connectors to both ends of the coax and make a water tight connection at the antenna and lighting arrestor at the base of the tower. All items shall be installed as recommended by the manufacture for the application. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District (NWK), intends to issue one, FFP contract to support the Civil Works and Military programs assigned to the Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers by providing the following services for the installation a of VHF Antenna and associated coax at a Remote Radio Tower Site to automate communication and tracking of Motor Vessels along the Missouri River in the Kansas City District. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, climbing equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to install the Government furnished VHF Antenna, associated coax and connectors at Gasconade Remote Radio Site. The Contractor shall replace, at no cost to the Government, all items damaged during installation. Selection will be made for one, FFP, negotiated and awarded to the most highly qualified firm. Work will be issued by negotiated Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) task orders not to exceed the contract amount. Anticipated award for the contract is in FY2019. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK INVOLVED, THE SELECTED VENDOR MUST BE WITHIN A 200 MILE RADIUS OF THE KANSAS CITY METRO AREA. This sources sought notice is solely for the Government's use as a market research tool. As such, the issuance of a competitive solicitation is NOT guaranteed. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this notice with a statement of interest on company letterhead no later than 28 June 2019 by 12:00PM (CST). The response to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed twenty (10) pages. All attachments must be provided in either Microsoft Word (.doc) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. At a minimum, the following must be provided: 1. Company name; 2. Company mailing address; 3. Point(s) of Contact including Telephone Number(s) & E-mail Address(es); 4. Company's current small business category (Small Business, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, and/or 8(a)) as it relates to NAICS Code 541380; and 5. A capabilities statement of your firm's capacity to meet this requirement to include any similar projects performed over the last two (2) years. If a solicitation is released in connection to this requirement, vendors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be eligible for an award. Per the direction of FAR 4.5 "Electronic Commerce in Contracting", the Federal Government shall use electronic commerce whenever practicable or cost-effective.
