The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to initiate an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for procurement of one welded steel flat deck barge to serve the Kansas City District. The principle dimensions of the barge will be as follows: Length Overall (Molded) 196'-0" Beam (Molded) 35'-0" Breadth (Overall, Loading Ramp Raised) 46'-0" Depth (Molded) 11'-0" Deck Flat Barge ends Raked The barge shall have a loading ramp, bridge deck assembly structure, winch control house, deck house, and a total of eleven (11) winches, to include: Eight (8) deck winches, Two (2) loading ramp winches, The barge will include the following complete systems: fuel and AC electrical. Delivery of the barge will be to US Army Corps of Engineers - Kansas City District, Gasconade Harbor Facility, 1502 Corps Rd., Gasconade, Missouri 65036 The NAICS code for this IFB is #336611 - Ship Building and Repair. Liquidated damages will be applicable to this procurement. Bid guarantee, payment, and performance bonding will be required. Period of performance will be determined at the issuance of the solicitation. The Solicitation Number W912DQ-19-B-1015 is intended to be available on or about 08 July 2019. Hard copies will not be available and written or fax requests will not be accepted. The official media of distribution for this IFB is the web. Contractors may download the solicitation (including any drawings) and any amendments via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at www.fbo.gov, on or after the issue date. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps web site for any amendments. Interested firms must register at FedBizOpps in order to access the solicitation. Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments. All bids are to be delivered to by mail. Electronic or fax bids will not be accepted. All contractors are required to be registered in the DOD System for Award Management by award (SAM) before award as required by FARS 4.605. Also, firms who receive a federal contract in excess of -$250,000.00 are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-4212 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
