The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for Construction Activities for demolition and installation of a new 48”x48” water control slide gate, frame, and actuator due to damages sustained during operation in 2019. The work covered by this contract consist of furnishing all equipment, labor, operators, supervision/site superintendent, quality control, supplies, materials, and incidentals necessary to satisfactorily perform and provide construction to potentially include, but not limited to removal of existing gate frame and actuator; installation of gate frame, slide, and actuator; electrical work; incidental construction repair may be required for concrete anchors and grouting at Harlan County Reservoir, NE. Work in this contract requires expertise with portable cranes and rigging of large steel structures, experience with heavy construction activities, weld repair and/or fabrication of stainless steel components to AWS D1.1 standards using pre-qualified weld procedures, precision machining, and expertise in working in confined spaces meeting OSHA requirements
