This is a non-personal services contract for pick-up of 100 each rail spanners, inspect/repair as needed, load/tensile test, mark with test date and next test date, and return rail spanners to facility. Aluminum rail spanners are used to bridge the gap between rail cars when loading rolling stock. Rail spanners are rated at 12,500 pounds capacity and are required to beload/tensile tested every 5 years. Offeror will provide separate pricing quotes for contractor pickup and delivery of 100 each rail spanner verses government delivery and pickup of 100 each rail spanners. The government will determine the need for pick-up and delivery at time of award. The acquisition is for a one time inspection and repair of the spanners. The solicitation package will include a Performance Work Statement (PWS).
