Notice Type: Pre-solicitation Synopsis: PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT: This announcement constitutes a pre-solicitation synopsis of a proposed contract action pursuant to FAR 5.204. This is not a solicitation. No response is requested at this time. PLANNED SOLICITATION: The Regional Contracting Office, Fort Wainwright, Alaska, intends to issue a solicitation for the services listed below. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued during the month of July of 2019 and that the solicitation documents (W912D0-19-R-0017) will be available during the same time. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals (RFP). Proposals will be due no less than 30 days from the solicitation issue date. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to FedBizOpps (FBO) at www.fbo.gov. The solicitation documents will only be made available in electronic format, downloadable from FBO. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Interested parties must be registered in FedBizOpps and the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov in order to view or download the solicitation documents. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to appropriately register in SAM & FBO and to monitor for notices and amendments. Prospective Offerors are advised, to be eligible for award of the contract resulting from this solicitation requires an active SAM registration, to include satisfactory completion of the applicable online representation & certifications. TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside pursuant to FAR 6.203 & FAR 19.502-2. The NAICS Code selected for this acquisition is 811412, which has a size standard of $14 million average annual revenue. PLANNED CONTRACT INFORMATION: The intent is to award one (1) Firm Fixed Price (FFP), contract as a result of the solicitation. The planned duration for the contract is a total of five years, consisting of a one year base ordering period and four one-year option periods INFORMATION ABOUT THE SERVICES TO BE PROCURED: The intent of the solicitation is to acquire services for The Directorate of Public Works (DPW), U.S. Army Garrison - Alaska who has a requirement for appliance maintenance and repair services. The requirement requires the contractor to provide all management, labor, equipment, supplies, materials, and transportation necessary to perform maintenance and repair of Government-owned appliances. Appliances applicable to this contract include: kitchen ranges, refrigerators, counter cook-tops, convection ovens, over the counter microwave ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers and Freon removal from refrigerators that are no longer serviceable. The Contractor is responsible for service and repair of all appliance components beginning at the appliance's connection to the structure of the building, i.e.: at the water valve, at the electrical outlet, etc. The Contractor is expected to have or obtain appropriate service manuals for equipment included in this requirement. The Contractor shall coordinate access to affected appliances with the office or agency having control over the location of the appliances. Full details will be provided in the PWS, which will be posted with the RFP.
