The government is conducting market research for R&D efforts on materiel solutions related to Survivability, Assured Mobility, and Maneuver Support. Survivability includes occupant-centric protection technologies such as armor, fire protection, hit avoidance, laser protection, countermine, active/passive protection, and interior protection. Assured Mobility focuses on enabling commanders to deploy, move, and maneuver assets without interruption across global terrain and climate profiles. Maneuver Support addresses freedom of movement at tactical, operational, and strategic levels, including countermine, track and suspension, power management, robotics, bridging, combat engineer equipment, IED interrogation, and route clearance. These efforts cover mobility and counter-mobility operations in constructed obstacles, unstructured terrain, and all environments.
