STATEMENT OF WORK C.1. Purpose and Scope. The Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), Ground Vehicle Materials Engineering’s Materials Testing Lab requires procurement of a Micro-/Macro- Hardness Tester. C.2. Scope of Effort. The vendor will provide a Micro-/Macro- Hardness Tester with the following scope associated with this statement of work the following scope of C.2.1. Load Range. C.2.1.1. The load range shall be from 0.3 kg to 3,000 kg. C.2.2. Testing Capabilities. C.2.2.1. The equipment shall conduct tests according to ASTM standards for the following scales: C.2.2.1.1. Vickers (HV 10, 20, 30, 50, 100) C.2.2.1.2. Knoop C.2.2.1.3. Brinell (10/3000) C.2.2.1.4. Rockwell (A, B, C) C.2.3. Testing Modes. C.2.3.1. The tester shall perform both clamped and unclamped testing. C.2.4. Software. C.2.4.1. The preloaded software shall enable automatic test sequences for gears, Jominy, and welded joints. C.2.4.2. The computer will be a standalone unit, not be on the DREN or NIPR network, C.2.5. Control Interface. C.2.5.1. The equipment shall be controllable via a touch display or PC. C.2.6. Automation. C.2.6.1. The tester shall support semi-automatic and fully automated testing for Vickers, Knoop, Brinell, and Rockwell. C.2.7. Camera Specifications. C.2.7.1. The evaluation camera shall have a minimum resolution of 12 MP and feature a CMOS sensor. C.2.8. Test Table Specifications. C.2.8.1. The test table shall support a load of at least 50 kg. C.2.8.2. The maximum test height shall be at least 380 mm. C.2.8.3. The dimensions shall be at least 435 mm (width) x 215 mm (depth). C.2.9. Tool Cabinet/Base. C.2.9.1. The tester shall be supplied with a compatible tool cabinet/base for equipment storage. C.2.10. Calibration. C.2.10.1. The equipment shall be calibrated to ASTM standards for Vickers, Knoop, Brinell, and Rockwell. C.2.10.2. Calibration shall be performed upon completion of equipment installation and setup. C.3. Deliverables. C.3.1. All items stated in the Scope of Work shall be delivered to: U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command 6501 E. 11 Mile Road, Building 200-E, Mailstop 234, Metallurgy Laboratory Warren, Michigan 48397-5000
