Under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) - "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements". The Government intends to award to Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price, Requirements Contract to Pearson Engineering Limited for the Light Weight Mine Roller (LWMR). The LWMR provides mine proofing of a cleared route for the Infantry Carrier Double V-Hull Vehicle and Engineering Squad Vehicle. It provides a path width of at least 120 percent of the vehicle. It provides the capability to detonate mines while maintaining momentum at operational vehicle speed. When operated with standard pre-load, it exerts a downward force on each individual roller. This force is designed to detonate simple pressure fused mines including anti-tank mines. CAUTION: The solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
