The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District intends to solicit and award a contract for supplying and installing two new 8-inch station service draft tube drain gate valves and two new 16-inch unwatering gate valves at Denison Dam Powerhouse. The work includes removing and disposing of existing valves and inspecting/refurbishing existing valve operating equipment such as stem extensions, shafts, bearings, bushings, and associated components. Performance will occur in a confined-space manhole approximately 30 feet deep, requiring specialized access, lifting equipment, and safety measures. The set-aside decision will depend on the capabilities shown by responses to the synopsis.
