Description: Contract work consists of Maintenance Dredging of the Absecon Inlet federal channel, Clam Creek portion from the entrance to the turning basin. (a) dredging will be required to clear shoaling of approximately 100,000 cu yd to maintain authorized depth of 15 ft MLLW plus 1-ft overdepth; (b) placement involving beneficial use on Boot Island is anticipated and is being negotiated with NJ Department of Environmental Protection. Dredging will be by hydraulic pipeline dredge. Containment measures may include turbidity curtains, coir logs and/or hay bales at the placement site. Dredging and placement is anticipated to be prohibited from 1 January to 15 September due to environmental restrictions. Contractor will be required to use the Resident Management System (RMS).
