REQUEST FOR QUOTES: The Philadelphia District, United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is requesting quotes for the emergency removal and disposal of objects from within the Delaware River channel of the Philadelphia to Sea Deep Draft Navigation Project. These objects are shallower than the authorized depths of the respective projects and hence pose a potential hazard to navigation. The Government intends to award one firm-fixed-price purchase order for these services. This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. These services are being procured as commercial services per FAR part 13 simplified acquisition procedures. Due to the urgent nature of the requirement and the commerciality of the services, the publicizing and response time is shortened in accordance with FAR 5.203(a) and 5.203(b). Refer to the attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for quote instructions and the scope of work.
