The Marine Design Center of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to initiate an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the procurement of one new 1100 HP Towboat for the Southwest Tulsa District. When complete, the new towboat will have the following characteristics: • ABS Class • Dimensions: o Length………………....65’ o Beam…………………..26’ o Draft…………………...5’2” o Depth ………………….8’6” o Minimum Air Draft……35’1” • Steel hull • Two main propulsion engines, 550 HP each, conventional propulsion • Electrical system powered by two generator sets Contractor will be required to fabricate and deliver the towboat to the Government. Delivery of the completed vessel must be complete within 560 after receipt of notice to proceed. Delivery and final acceptance will be at the USACE Southwest Tulsa district, Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Bid bond and payment and performance bond will be required. The IFB number W912BU-22-B-0019 is intended to be available on or about August 29, 2022Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors maydownload the solicitation and any amendments at SAM.gov on (or after) the issued date. Theofficial distribution of the IFB is the internet. All amendments will be posted to the Sam.gov website. It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the website in order to gain access to the solicitation.
