Description of Work: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed contract that consists of Maintenance dredging under this contract. Contract work consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sediment within the Lewes to Rehoboth Canal. Base contract work includes dredging between Roosevelt Inlet and just south of the Savannah Road bridge in Lewes, DE. There will be an Option to dredge just south the Rt 9 Bridge. Work includes hydraulic dredging with placement of the dredged material into one or both of the upland dredged material disposal areas in Lewes, DE between the canal and Cedar Street. Dredging between Roosevelt inlet and the Savannah Road Bridge will be to -10’ MLLW (Datum) plus 1’ allowable overdepth. Dredging below Savannah Road, including the Option, will be to -6’ MLLW (Datum) plus 1’ allowable overdepth. The base contract will also include sluice replacement and minor earthwork for embankment improvements at both disposal areas. Solicitation Number W912BU22B0014 will be issued on or about 9 August 2022 with a bid opening date occurring at least 30 days after the Solicitation. The base contract period of performance is 420 calendar days with an additional 30 days added if Option 1 is awarded. **This will be advertised 100% Small Business.** Estimated cost range of the project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. 2. The period of performance is 450 days. 3. The construction cost will be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Notice to Proceed for this project is scheduled to be issued on or about 13 October 2022. 4.
