Action Code: Synopsis Class Code: 19 Subject: New barge for Mobile District Solicitation No.: W912BU19B0020 Set-Aside Code: Small Business Response Date: 23 September 2019, 01:00 PM EST Place of Performance: Philadelphia, PA Description of Work: The Marine Design Center (MDC) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has issued this Invitation for Bid (IFB), to procure, test, and deliver a new crane barge for the Mobile District (AOR). The vessel to be supplied shall be a new barge for a 300 ton crawler crane. The Government will furnish the crawler crane to the shipyard for the shipyard to install on the new barge with the assistance of the crane manufacturer. The principal characteristics of the new barge to be supplied are as follows: • ABS Classed, Maltese Cross A-1 Floating Crane for Rivers and Intra-Coastal Waterways for use as a Government Floating Crane, with Reinforcement B • Other ABS Notations: CRC (Crane Register Certificate) • Length: 200 ft. • Width: 56 ft. • Depth: 10 ft. This acquisition will be made using sealed bidding, a single award will be made as a whole, to the lowest priced, responsive bidder determined to be responsible in accordance with FAR Part 14 Procedures. Issue date for the Invitation For Bids (IFB), Solicitation No. W912BU19B0020 is anticipated on or about August 23, 2019, as a Small Business procurement. The bid opening is projected to be conducted on September 23, 2019 at 01:00 PM. EST; however, this information is subject to change. Offerors should review the entire solicitation once it is posted. Bonding will be required; at the time of bid opening, by separate Bid Bonds; and after award but before Notice to Proceed, Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required for 100% of contract award. The NAICS Code for this project is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1250 employees.. Solicitation documents, plans, and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via FBO Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available.
