Amendment 0001 - Extend Bid Opening to 4 October, 2023 at 1:00PM EST The Marine Design Center of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is initiating this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to design, construct, test, and deliver one (1) new aluminum crewboat for the Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District for use in support of its various missions in accordance with the attached specifications. The bid opening will be held September 19th at 1:00pm at 1650 Arch Street, Philadelphia PA. See the attached solicitation for all instructions. The crewboat will be a twin-scr... The USACE Marine Design Center of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to initiate an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of one aluminum crewboat. The crewboat will be a twin-screw, diesel-powered vessel with an aluminum hull and cabin. The vessel is intended to serve the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis Service Base in support of its various missions. The principal dimensions of the barge shall be as follows: Length (molded): Maximum 38’-0” Breadth (molded) Maximum 14’-0” Depth: 7’-6” Draft: 3’-2” The deckhouse top shall be sloped aft. The deckhouse shall have seating for 18 passengers and a pilot. The vessel will have 2 crew members, a pilot and deckhand. The vessel shall have a 600-gallon fuel tank. The minimum speed requirements shall allow for the vessel to make 35 MPH transiting upriver, at max payload capacity. Contractor will be required to fabricate and deliver the vessel to the Government. Delivery and final acceptance will be at the USACE St. Louis District Service Base, St. Louis, MO. There will be liquidated damages associated with this procurement. Bid guarantee, payment, and performance bonding will be required. The Invitation for Bid Number (IFB) W912BU-23-B-0028 is intended to be available on or about August 16, 2023. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors may download the solicitation (including drawings) and any amendments via the hyperlink to the Sam.Gov website, www.sam.gov , on (or after) the issue date. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Web. All amendments to the IFB will be posted to the Sam.Gov website. It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the website in order to access the solicitation. Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments.
