The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid for Lower Brule North Shoreline Stabilization and Ecosystem Restoration, Element 2, as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Work will be performed at Big Bend, Lower Brule, South Dakota, and includes a 100-foot-wide riparian planting bench, a gravel maintenance path, a 200-by-1,500-foot island in Reach 4 in water up to three feet deep, riprap revetment, and cottonwood and other culturally significant plantings, expected to create about 5.17 acres of emergent wetland and roughly 32 acres of riparian habitat. Estimated construction cost is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000; performance and payment bonds will be required, and the applicable NAICS is 237990 with a $45M small-business size standard. A site visit is scheduled for 28 October 2026, the IFB is expected on or about 6 October 2026, and the contractor must complete work 450 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, subject to change. Bids must be submitted via the PIEE Solicitation Module; phone calls will not be accepted, and contractors must have an active SAM registration with the applicable NAICS.
