REHABILITATE SPILLWAY APRON SLAB at OAHE DAM, SD On or about 13 August 2024, this office will issue an Invitation for Bid for Rehabilitate Spillway Apron Slab at Oahe Dam, South Dakota. The bids will be due on or about 12 September 2024. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses. Site Visit: Site visit is anticipated for 27 August 2024 at 10am (Central Time). Site visit information will be issued with the solicitation. Project Description: The Contractor will form, reinforce, pour and cure concrete patches to replace the demolished concrete, which may include the installation of waterstop at the joints. Two 6" check valves in the spillway gallery that act as a flood overflow will be replaced, and the short piece of connection pipe will be repainted. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications. See ‘Obtaining Solicitation Documents’ below. Completion Date: The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP) and complete the work in within 365 calendar days after receipt of NTP. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. Estimated Construction Costs: The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS Code: The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard for Small Business of $45,000,000. All contractors must be registered and have an active and verified account in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to receive a contract award from any DoD activity.
