Construct 458 SM (4,931 SF) Explosive Ordinance Disposal Facility to accommodate vehicle storage and equipment storage. Functional areas include storage of special purpose clothing and equipment, storage for mobility equipment, a heated garage for emergency vehicles, and storage for classified materials. The foundation system for the facility should be shallow foundations with over ADAL Explosive Ordinance Disposal Facility, Ellsworth AFB, SD excavation of the soil under the building footprint and replacing that soil with compacted fill. The structure of the facility will consist of steel framing and masonry walls. The lateral load resisting system is anticipated to be ordinary steel braced frame. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP) and complete the work in the number of calendar days (stated in the solicitation) after receipt of NTP. Clauses will be included for Liquidated Damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. ***SITE VISIT WILL BE OCTOBER 4, 2023 at 10:00AM.
