The solicitation will close on 16 December 2022. The solicitation is 100% Small Business Set Aside. Project Description: Omaha District is interested in upgrading the Depressing Air System at the Big Bend Dam, Chamberlain, South Dakota. This project comprises of the reconfiguration of the current four (4) compressor system. Two (2) of the current compressors will be replaced with two (2) 150HP two-stage, rotary screw, oil-flooded compressors and two (2) of the existing air compressors will be retained in the new design. The project will aim to decrease the systems recovery time by increasing the compressors capacity (CFM) and the total system storage by replacing one (1) damaged accumulator tank and adding two (2) additional accumulator tanks to the system (optional CLIN). Estimated Construction Costs: The estimated construction cost of this project is Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This will allow two units to go into condensing mode quicker and provide the Big Bend personal the ability to conduct multiple make?up air counts during the condense blow?down cycle as there are typically multiple units operating in order to maintain 100 psi system pressure.
