PRESOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT - W9128F22B0015 - Oahe Project Pier 10 Bridge Rocker Bearing Modification Oahe Project, Pier 10 Bridge Rocker Bearing Mod. The rocker bearings at Pier 10 have been moving gradually over time since the bridge was originally constructed. The bearings have been reset multiple times and are now at the edge of the pier. The pier needs to be modified so that the rocker bearing can be reset as needed as the bridge piers continue to move. To effectively repair the bridge, the project will require contractors capable of repairing bridge portions located above the waterline, the usage of heavy machinery, and qualified staff to inspect the quality of the job being performed. The following conditions must be met to successfully complete the task: A system for placing elevated concrete, such as a pumping system or chutes that descend from the bridge's surface. Scaffolding is placed above the water so workers can do the job (bar placement, formwork placement, tensioning and a bar-tensioning jack. An installation team for the adhesive anchors, as well as qualified test inspectors. Tools for mechanically scarifying the existing concrete surfaces and core drills that can drill through four feet of existing concrete are required for this project, pressure grouting equipment and a method of scanning for existing reinforcement in order to find it before digging. This will be an IFB Procuement with the Solicitation being Posted on or about 18 August 2022
