THIS IS NOT A FORMAL SOLICITATION. This announcement constitutes a PRE-SOLICITATION notice in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2. On or about 17 Feb 2022, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District hereby announces its intent to issue a solicitation for “Oahe Powerhouse Line 1”. The solicitation will close on or about 21 March 2022. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED and open to both large and small business participation. Site Visit: The site visit date and time will be included in the solicitation. Address: 28563 Power House Road, Pierre SD 57501. Project Description: This is a construction contract to replace conductors, insulators, connectors, and associated hardware for the 115kV power line at the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Oahe Project. The contractor shall complete all work as described in the technical plans and specifications. In general, this project will involve removing existing conductors, insulators, connectors, and associated hardware and replacing with new. The installation will be on overhead conductors running from the generator step-up (GSU) transformer outside of the powerhouse to the switchyard. The Period of Performance for this effort (including Options) is approximately more than 12 months. Estimated Magnitude of Construction is between $200,000 and $500,000. NAICS Code: The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is 237130, Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction, with a size standard for Small Business of $39.5M.
