Presolicitation Notice for Generator Air and Thrust Bearing Oil Cooler & Supply Piping Replacement Gavins Point Dam, Yankton, South Dakota 100% Small Business Set Aside W9128F22R0009 On or about 15 November 2021, the Government intends to issue a solicitation for the Generator Air and Thrust Bearing Oil Cooler & Supply Piping Replacement at Gavins Point Dam in Yankton, South Dakota. The solicitation will close on or about 17 December 2021. The solicitation is 100% Small Business Set Aside. All contractors must be registered and have an active and verified account in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to receive a contract from any DoD activity. Contractors may access the internet site at https://www.sam.gov/ to register and/or obtain information about the SAM program. Contractors must ensure that the applicable NAICS code is included in their proposal prior to submission of offer. Project Description: This contract calls for the install of 8 new generator air coolers per unit as well as one spare generator air cooler to be retained by Gavins Point for a total of 25 newly designed generator air coolers. This contract also calls for the install of 4 new thrust bearing oil coolers per unit as well as one spare thrust bearing oil cooler to be retained by Gavins Point for a total of 13 newly designed thrust bearing oil coolers. In addition to the coolers, this contract calls for the installation of new raw water strainers for each Main Unit (3 total). Finally, this contract will include the replacement of all associated supply piping. Estimated Construction Costs: The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS Code: The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is NAICS 238220 “Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors” with a Small Business size standard of $16.5 Million.
