THIS IS NOT A FORMAL SOLICITATION. This announcement constitutes a PRE-SOLICITATION notice in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2. On or about 22 April 2021, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District hereby announces its intent to issue a solicitation for “Zebra Mussel Mitigation, Fort Randall”. The solicitation will close on or about 13 May 2021. This solicitation is restricted to SMALL BUSINESSES. Site Visit: A Site Visit will be scheduled and additional information regarding the site visit will be provided in the solicitation. The site visit is tentatively scheduled for 5 May 2021 at 1000 CDT at the Fort Randall Power Plant, 399 Powerhouse Road Pickstown, SD 57367. **Site Visit date has been updated** CDC guidelines will be followed to include masks, social distancing and temperature checks during the site visit. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Ft Randall Zebra Mussel (ZM) Mitigation The goal of this project is to award a contract for the construction of a liquid copper-based ZM mitigation system. The desired Copper Based Pesticide (CBP) distribution system will consist of four (4) base mounted metering pump assemblies w/ PLC controller, flexible tubing, and stainless-steel rigid tubing with compression type tube fittings such as Swagelok or similar. Each pumping system and 275 gallon liquid CBP tote on the secondary spill containment will be plumbed to injection ports (w/ injection quill) at the upstream piping of 14” raw water intake strainer at generator units 2, 4, 6, and 8. The Period of Performance for this effort is 90 days from Notice to Proceed being issued. NAICS Code: The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is 238290, OTHER BUILDING EQUIPMENT CONTRACTORS, with a size standard of $16.5M.
