On or about 26 February 2021, the Government intends to issue a solicitation for Total Vegetative Spraying at Gavin’s Point Area Project, Cedar, NE & Yankton, SD. The solicitation will close on or about 11 March 2021. The solicitation is 100% Small business set aside. Project Description: The Contractor shall provide services for successful chemical control of target vegetation without damaging and/or killing nearby trees, shrubs, and any other non-target ground vegetation within the designated areas on project lands. Control of weeds and invasive species is required for project operations, public recreation areas, and wildlife management areas to meet environmental stewardship missions that are required. Some areas may require spot treatments and some areas will require solid coverage chemical applications by a licensed Commercial Pesticide Applicator(s). Application rates and mixtures shall be such that the target species is killed, and simply not injured/burnt. Work areas are identified by aerial photos and maps that are provided by the Government, and the use of a contractor-supplied GPS may be needed to navigate work areas by the Contractor. The designated work units shall be successfully treated with chemical control as directed and in accordance with all contract specifications. NAICS Code: The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is 561730, Landscaping Services, with a size standard for Small Business of $8 Million Obtaining Solicitation Documents: Solicitation documents will be posted to the web via Federal Business Opportunities (beta.sam.gov).
