The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District Invitation for Bid (IFB) using the FAR Part 14 – Sealed Bidding method for the project titled: Chute Repairs FY21, Missouri River, Atchison and Holt County, Missouri, Nemaha County, Nebraska The solicitation will close on 7 September 2021. This IFB is restricted to Small Businesses. The scope of work for this project includes: Repairing critical, priority 1 Missouri River Recovery Program structures on the southern portion of the Omaha District’s Missouri River. Structures were damaged by flooding in the 2018 and 2019 at Deroin Bend Chute in Missouri, Rush Bottom Bend Chute in Missouri, and Langdon Bend Chute in Nebraska. These actions are considered “emergency” repairs as they address critical threats to infrastructure that if left unrepaired, could cause significant economic damages during high flow events. Work for this project consists of placing rock. Repairs will be made to control structures, dikes, eroded banks and island tips, and associated BSNP structures. The work consists of minor grading and bringing in rock that meets contract specifications and placing rock at the designated locations. Construction duration is 730 calendar days after issuance of the notice to proceed. Estimated Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
